Barcelona forward Pedro has reportedly passed his medical with Chelsea according to a report from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.
For so many weeks it seemed as if Pedro would be making the move to Manchester United but on Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning it became clear that he would be going to Chelsea.
He flew to London today to complete his medical and he has now passed that medical according to Mundo which would suggest that the deal could be completed very soon.
The deal has serious echoes of 2013 when Chelsea swooped late to seal the signature of Willian from under the noses of rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Pedro is expected to move into the right of midfield with Brazilian midfielder Willian moving inside to compete with Oscar for the number ten role.
Pedro was linked with Chelsea earlier in the window but the move went cold and it seemed as if he would move to United.
Chelsea could definitely do with a new player with their squad looking woefully short of options at the moment.
When they were 3-0 down to Manchester City on the weekend there weren’t many options for Mourinho off the bench and Pedro will certainly bolster the squad.
