Kogi 2016: Wada expresses delight as loyalists sweep PDP state congress

Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State has applauded the victory of Engineer Sam Ohuetu as the new state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, noting that his emergence was a bold effort which would re-position the party for the current challenges. He also noted that with the successful conduct of the three-man adhoc delegate ward congress and the state party congress, the Kogi State PDP had been re-energised to ward off any challenge in the November 21, 2015 governorship election. Speaking yesterday in Lokoja during the swearing- in- of the new PDP state Executive members, Wada said: “The party executives are eager to show what they can contribute to the party. We are very happy that the ward congress went peacefully and rancor-free as no single person wrote a petition against the congress. There was a level playing field for everybody”.
